Description

Crease Lame fabric can be applied to the apparel, theatrics, cosplay and event industry. Its ability to crush and change texture and its high sheen allows for multiple applications. Crease Lame is a Chinese made replica of our Japanese Tissue Lame. One of few fabrics that are so fragile yet luxurious and has no face. Both sides are identical.

Cleaning Instructions	Fabric is Dry Clean Only. Do not wash and or machine wash this item.

This Is Better Than I Thought It Would Be!

I already had this product from another manufacturer, and I did not have enough. Knowing that a different store may not have the exact same product, I ordered enough to make the entire outfit. When THIS order arrived, it was much better than what I already had! I love this fabric, and it is awesome looking! By the way, in the video, the pocket that I will sew in is made from the previous lame! Do you see the difference? I am truly satisfied with this company and this fabric. I'll be baaaack!

Crush Lame vs Slipper Lame — aren't they the same?

Same family, different texture and width. Both are Chinese-made replicas of Japanese tissue lame — 100% polyester, about 48 grams per square meter, reversible ('no face,' both sides identical), fragile yet luxurious. The difference: Crush (Crease) Lame has a creased, crinkled texture and comes 52" wide; Slipper Lame is the smoother tissue lame at 60" wide. Both are dry clean only. Choose Crush for the textured, light-catching crease effect; choose Slipper for smoother drape and more width per yard.

Does the crushed texture hide wear?

Somewhat — that's the practical case for it. The crease-crincled texture on this lame breaks up light and disguises the minor creasing and handling marks that show immediately on smooth lame. It's still a fragile, dry-clean-only metallic (48 GSM, very light body) — the texture forgives, it doesn't immunize. For theatrical and event use where the fabric gets handled between shows, the crush reads as intentional texture even after some wear. Smooth lame shows every insult; crush lame shrugs at small ones.

Can I wash it gently at home?

The listing says dry clean only — do not machine wash — and we'd honor that. At 48 grams per square meter with a delicate creased metallic finish, this lame has no tolerance for agitation; machine washing crushes the crease pattern unevenly and dulls the metallic. The dry-cleaning cost is intrinsic to tissue lame at any price. If your project truly needs washability, our machine-washable metallics (like tricot liquid lame) are the honest alternative — different look, but they survive the laundry.
