I bought this thread in a few basic colors mainly to bump my fabric order up to free shipping but also because I do go through a lot of thread. It is not made for my sewing machine, however I found a partial spool of thread in my stash which fits inside the cone perfectly, so now I can use it directly on my machine without buying an adapter or rewinding onto bobbins, etc. I can pop that other spool back out with a pen pretty easily, so I can still use my old purple color when I need it. I have used a fair amount of this new My Textile Fabric thread already, making several bobbins and sewing custom draperies. I am very pleased with the product as well as the value and I am glad I made this part of my purchase.

Of 3 spools of thread none have arrived whole. If the spools were shipped inside the roll I would be so happy. But they attach the spools to the outside of an 85 pound bolt of fabric. So it gets smashed.
