Vintage Stretch lace is a very smooth and soft Lingerie Lace weight Lace. Fabric is made of 95% Polyester and 5% Spandex. 60" Wide. No Scalloped Edges. Stretch lace is the perfect choice for lingerie, tanks, tops, dresses, skirts, fashion accents and more. Perfect for sewing pretty lingerie, tank tops, t-shirts or adding accents to apparel.

Cleaning Instructions	100% Polyester Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures.

Is this stretch lace actually comfortable for lingerie?

Yes — that's its designed purpose. This vintage-style floral lace is 95% polyester with 5% spandex, giving it genuine stretch (not just mechanical give) at 58/60" wide. The listing calls it 'very soft lingerie weight' with a smooth hand, and at about 80 grams per square meter it's light without being flimsy. The honest tradeoff: 5% spandex gives comfort stretch, not power stretch — it won't cinch like elastic, so size lingerie for skimming, not compression.

No scalloped edges — is that a problem for lingerie?

Not for most designs. This Giselle floral lace has no scalloped edges — it's cut-and-finish on all sides, which actually gives you more usable width (full 58/60") and cleaner pattern placement than scalloped laces where you design around the edge. You'll finish edges with elastic, fold-over binding, or a rolled hem. The tradeoff: you don't get that ready-made scalloped neckline look — but you gain versatility and yardage efficiency, which matters at lace prices.

Can I machine wash lingerie made from this?

Yes — cold or warm, low tumble, per the listing. The 95/5 poly-spandex blend is fully machine washable, which is a real advantage over delicate laces that demand hand washing. We'd still use a lingerie bag: lace and hooks/velcro from other laundry are a snagging disaster. And skip high heat — spandex breaks down faster in hot dryers, so low tumble or line dry keeps the stretch alive longer.
