We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

What does 'two-tone' mean on this sequin velvet?

It means the sequins themselves carry two tones that shift as the fabric moves. This Sequins Velvet Wave pairs two-tone sequins with a plush 90% polyester / 10% spandex stretch velvet base, so a turn or a step changes the color flashing across the surface. It's a 350 GSY fabric at 58/60 inches wide — substantial, not flimsy. The honest tradeoff of the two-tone effect: the color you see depends on the light and angle, so order a swatch if you're matching it to a fixed costume palette.

How do I sew through sequins without breaking needles?

Brush them out of the way first. On this Sequins Velvet Wave, use an awl or your fingers to push the sequins to either side of the seam line, then sew with a heavy-duty or jeans needle — the plush velvet base plus sequins is a thick sandwich. Many sewists also hammer the seam allowances flat where sequins cluster. We'd be straight with you: your machine will complain, so sew slowly, and expect to replace the needle after the project.
