I am unsure of the "name" of the plaid I need - but the picture you show at your site looks like the one I need - with blue, green, narrow yellow stripe and slightly wider red stripe. Why does this fabric feel stiff?

It's supposed to — that stiffness is the point. This School Uniform Fabric is a 12 oz 100% polyester woven that's stiffer to the touch specifically so it holds the crisp look of slack-style uniforms. It softens somewhat with washing (machine wash cold, no bleach), but it will never drape like apparel polyester. If you're buying it for a costume or cosplay that needs a structured uniform look, the stiffness is a feature, not a flaw.

Do you offer bulk pricing for schools?
