Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Great Fabric

It's so hard to find 120" quality material that is not sheer or blackout. The Polyester Faux Dupioni Fabric is going to work perfect for a bedspread I will be making. Thank you for your products!

Bait and switch

We spent a long time researching fabric suitable for covering the ceiling for my small business. When we found this offered by the bolt, we ordered samples (and paid for shipping!) but when we went to place the order, it was now only available to purchase by the yard. I emailed and got no response and then called and left a message. When I received a call back, the person confirmed that they no longer sell this by the bolt. I would have never have ordered samples if I had known this was the case. Super disappointed.

Faux Dupioni silk fabric sample

Only ordered samples but they arrived quickly. Quilts of fabric is good. Look forward to ordering

Beautiful fabric

This is very nice fabric especially for the price, but it is too sheer for our application at our church that has lumber framing to cover on the stage. I love the 120 inch width. That goes a long way!

Exactly What I wanted

The fabric was delivered quickly and is perfect for the 18th century costume I am making. :)

Beautiful. Ended up with a lot more of the Dupioni silk than I needed. If you could list the yardage in square yards as well as inches, that would be helpful since I’m terrible at math.

Frequently asked questions

Faux dupioni vs real dupioni — what's the difference?
Fiber and fussiness. This is a 100% polyester faux dupioni — 120" wide (118" per the description), IFR certified NFPA 701 with certificate available on request — with the characteristic slubbed texture of dupioni silk. Real dupioni is silk: luminous, expensive, water-spots, and fussy. The faux gives the slubbed visual at 120" wide (a width real silk rarely reaches), machine washable, inherently flame retardant. The tradeoff: polyester can't match silk's luminous depth up close — but for pipe-and-drape, hotel projects, and ballroom events (its listed uses), viewed from feet away, the faux is the professional choice.
'Lighter with more apparent slubs' than the 58" version — what does that mean?
The listing is comparing this 120" faux dupioni to its 58"-wide counterpart: the wide version is woven lighter, so the slubs (the characteristic thick-and-thin texture of dupioni) show more prominently. That's neither good nor bad — it's a texture statement. More visible slubbing reads as more 'silk-like' character from a distance; the lighter hand drapes more fluidly for large installations. For ballroom draping where texture needs to read across a room, the pronounced slub is an advantage. Swatch it if your design needs subtle.
120 inches wide — how do I even handle that?
With a helper and floor space — honestly. Ten feet of 100% polyester faux dupioni is a sail; cutting it solo on a standard table is how fabric gets stretched off-grain and torn. Roll (don't fold) for transport, cut on a clean floor with weights, and have someone manage the far end. The payoff: seamless 10-foot drape panels for ballrooms and hotels with zero piecing. It's machine washable (cold or warm, low tumble), IFR certified — the wide, certified, washable combo is why event companies buy it by the bolt.
