Description

Guipure Lace is an open weave lace generally used for apparel. Great fabric for event planners and party rental companies manufacturing linens, runners, and rustic theme parties. Fabric is soft and elegant for garments, skirts and children's dresses. Accenting rooms with pillows and curtains and drapes for the house.

Cleaning Instructions	Hand Wash Only - Please wash in cold water and soap. Hang to Dry.

Beautiful lace.

Beautiful lace, quite heavy. Generous cut and shipped promptly. It is more mauve in tone, than blush pink, so will not work for my gown, but it looks amazing with some black fabric I have, so will pair it with that eventually.

The most beautiful lace ever !

The lace is so beautiful ! It is rather heavy and the big flowers are about 3". So it is not the normal dainty lace that is so common. Anyone can see that this fabric is high quality and expensive. I plan on making a lace top to wear over a tank top type shirt. I expect it will be gorgeous!

What makes guipure lace different from regular lace?

Guipure is the heavyweight of the lace world. Unlike delicate Chantilly or embroidered tulle laces, guipure is a dense, open-weave lace with no fine net background — the motifs are joined by bars rather than mesh, giving it a substantial, almost sculptural body. This one runs about 2 oz with a medium body and textured hand, 48/49 inches wide, in a heavy double-scalloped design. It holds its shape, which is why it works for structured bodices, children's dresses, and event runners. Honest tradeoff: that same density makes it stiffer than soft laces — it will not drape like chiffon, so do not choose it for flowy, gathered skirts.

Can I use guipure lace for a rustic wedding tablescape?

Yes — it is listed for exactly that: event planners use it for linens, runners, and rustic-theme parties. The open weave reads beautifully over a solid base cloth (burlap or a linen-look underneath is the classic rustic pairing), and the heavy double scallop gives you a finished edge with no hemming. It is 100% polyester and comes in multiple colors. The tradeoff: it is hand wash cold and hang dry only — for rental inventory that gets cycled weekly, that is real labor. For a one-time wedding or a styled shoot, it is perfect.
