Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

Crush velvet vs panne velvet — is there a difference?
They're close cousins. This Crush Triple Velvet is a plush crushed velvet — 65% acetate / 35% nylon, 44/45" wide, made in Korea, no stretch, about 6 oz per linear yard, dry clean only. Our panne velvet is a 100% polyester crushed velour, 60" wide, with mechanical stretch and IFR certification. The practical differences: crush triple velvet has the richer acetate hand and is the classic apparel/theater velvet; panne is wider, stretchier, washable-er, and event-certified. For clothing and capes, crush triple velvet's drape is the tradition. For draping events, panne's width and stretch win.
'Not recommended for upholstery' — why?
The listing says it plainly, and the specs explain it: at 44/45" wide with a light 6 oz body and no stretch, this crush velvet lacks the width, weight, and abrasion resistance upholstery demands — plus it's dry clean only, which is impractical for furniture. It's built for clothing, capes, drapes, and special-occasion pieces (its listed uses), where the plush crushed pile shows beautifully without taking abuse. For velvet upholstery, you'd want a heavier, wider, washable polyester velvet — different specs entirely.
Acetate velvet — will it water-spot?
It can — that's the acetate tradeoff. This 65% acetate / 35% nylon crush velvet has a gorgeous deep pile, but acetate water-spots: a drop of water can leave a visible mark as it dries unevenly. That's part of why it's dry clean only (hand wash or dry clean suggested). For special-occasion garments worn carefully, it's a non-issue. For anything exposed to rain, drinks, or kids — choose polyester velvet instead. The richness of acetate pile is real; so is its fussiness.
