Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is 'flocking' — is this real velvet?
It's velvet-textured, not woven velvet. Flocking means fine velvet fibers are adhered to a base fabric — here, a structured scuba knit — creating a plush velvet surface on a thick, stable foundation. You get the soft, velvety hand and rich look of velvet with the body and stretch-recovery of scuba. At 60 inches wide, it's built for upholstery, jewelry displays, theater decor, and luxury packaging where structure matters as much as softness.
Can I actually upholster furniture with it?
Yes — it's engineered for exactly that. This Scuba Flocking Velvet is described as heavy-duty, wear-resistant, and structured for long-term use, with a thick stable base that won't stretch out of shape on a seat cushion the way fashion velvets do. It also works for soundproofing panels and home theater decor, where the dense pile absorbs sound. The tradeoff of the scuba base: it's thicker and less drapey than apparel velvet, so it's wrong for flowing garments.
