Paradise Mermaid Hologram is ideal for gymnastics uniforms, costumes, dancewear and so much more. This fabric is breathable and comfortable due to its elasticity and lightweight composition. This fabric comes in a wide range of vibrant colors and has been praised for its stunningly holographic foil finish.

Mermaid hologram vs mystic hologram — same fabric, different print?

Same base, different hologram pattern. Paradise Mermaid is the mermaid-scale holographic pattern on the 4-way stretch dancewear base (80% nylon / 20% spandex, 58/60" wide, multiple colors); Mystic is the classic hologram. Identical stretch, identical featherweight breathability, identical strict care (hand wash separately cold, mild detergent, line dry — no bleach, softeners, iron, or dry clean; foil may fade with wear and washing). Choose purely on which holographic texture matches your costume: mermaid scales for sirens and sea themes, classic hologram for everything else.

Is the mermaid scale pattern very literal?

It's a holographic scale texture — clearly mermaid-inspired without being cartoonish. The foil finish forms an overlapping scale pattern that shifts rainbow colors as it moves, which is exactly the siren effect. In multiple colors, so you can go classic aqua or full fantasy. How do I keep the foil bright the longest?

Cold, gentle, and infrequent — that's the whole protocol. Hand wash separately in cold water with mild detergent, line dry; never bleach, fabric softeners, iron, or dry clean (per the listing). The foil 'may fade after wear and washing' — friction and sweat are what age it, so rinse soon after performing, don't scrub the foil surface, and store the garment inside-out away from abrasion.
