Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

Why should I line my garments?
Lining adds structure, hides seams, helps garments slide on easily, and extends their life — it's the difference between homemade-looking and professional. The right lining depends on your shell fabric. Our guide to choosing fabric for dresses and more covers lining selection.
Which lining works best for formal dresses?
Taffeta and satin linings are the go-to for formalwear — they add body and a smooth finish. For lightweight garments, a soft poly lining does the job. Learn why taffeta is a top lining choice.
How do I care for lining fabrics?
Care varies by fabric — check the product listing. As a rule, clean lining the same way you'd clean the outer garment. Our fabric care 101 has general guidance.
Do linings come in colors to match my project?
Yes — we stock lining in a wide color range starting from $1.99 per yard, so you can match or contrast with your shell fabric. Unsure about a shade? Our swatch guide shows how to match colors confidently.
