Inherently Fire Retardant (IFR):

This fabric is Certified fire retardant NFPA 701. Tested and reviewed by Laboratories for Indoor Flame Retardancy.  Fire Marshalls and or special jobs require certified fire retardant documents for approval before installation and or product development. This item passes the NFPA 701 testing. Some venues at events may also require this certification for event and or decorations. NFPA 701 Certificate available upon request.


Extra Wide Fire Retardant Drapery Velvet Fabric features a smooth, non-textured velvet finish with a soft, luxurious hand and beautiful flow. This 118" wide fabric is Fire Retardant treated and passes NFPA 701 and California Title 19 for event drapery use. Ideal for pipe and drape, room draping, tablecloths, napkins, chair covers, cushion covers, theatrical applications, and apparel. Sold by the continuous yard where as possible based on bolt sizing available. Cleaning Instructions and FR Instructions

100% Washable. However, washing this fabric may remove the Fire Retardant treatment and reduce or eliminate its fire-retardant properties. Once washed, the fabric may no longer meet
NFPA 701 and California Title 19 standards. By washing the material, you acknowledge that the FR treatment may be removed and the fabric should no longer be considered certified as Fire Retardant.

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.
