What is the difference between a Single Layer and Double Layer Gauze?

Double Layer Cotton Gauze is a 48" Wide Cotton Muslin Fabric.  Essentially two layers of a single cotton gauze are fused together to create a double layer effect.  Makes great for baby blankets, dresses, summer apparel, bathing suites and more.

A Single Layer Cotton Gauze is much lighter weight - not see through but definitely a semi solid sheer.  This single layer cotton gauze is great for wraps, baby bibs, table runners and tablecloths, curtains, baby carriers, blouses and more.
