Stretch Glitter Knit is a 56" wide Polyester Spandex Knit. Great for Apparel and Garment usage. Ideal for costumes and Cosplay garments. This shimmery double knit fabric has a solid backing with a Glitter textured face. This fabric stretches 20% across the grain and has a great drape effect. Super light weight and makes an awesome dance costume. Perfect for glamorous tops, costumes, dancewear and special occasion dresses.

Cleaning Instructions	100% Polyester Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures.
Picture Taken	Picture is taken with and/or without flash depending on the color. If you are very particular about the color tone - please order a sample swatch to avoid any issues.

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Stretch Glitter Knit Fabric - very nice!

The fabric overall was very nice and worked well for the project. One of the pieces did have a significant flaw that was a black line all the way across. I did manage to cut around it, but that could have been a major problem. I do appreciate this is something that can happen once in a while. Overall though, I was happy with the service and the quality of the fabric was very good and will order again at some point. Thank you! Donna

Material is STUNNING! Didn’t tip while stretching, however…it sheds glitter..bad. I was unable to use them for making bows as intended because the glitter could be harmful to babies eyes..so now I’m not sure what to do with all of this fabric. 😞

Fabric shedded glitter really bad, it was very pretty but not the strong quality material .

some reason this fabric kept leaving almost a semi sticky residue on my sewing machine needle and jamming it..? i think it’s from the stuff keeping the sparkles glued to the dress- but it was very shimmery. used this to make my first prom dress and my first sewing project!

Will this work for a bodysuit, or is it too thin?

It works for dance costumes, with one caveat. This is a lightweight 56-inch polyester-spandex knit with a solid backing and a glitter textured face, stretching about 20% across the grain — that's 2-way stretch. For fitted dance tops and costume pieces, that 20% is enough ease. For a full compression bodysuit, we'd be straight with you: 2-way 20% stretch is modest, and true bodysuit fabrics run 4-way. Order a swatch, stretch it, and see if it recovers the way your pattern needs.

Does the glitter shed everywhere?

Some — it's the nature of glitter knits. The glitter here is a textured face on a solid-backed double knit, so it sheds far less than loose-glitter tulle, but expect some sparkle in your sewing room. The practical move: cut with the glitter side down and shake finished pieces outside. It's machine-washable in cold water, so what sheds in the wash stays in the machine, not on your costume.
