Description

Dura Nylon Mesh is a strong tight weave with 20% spandex allowing for layering garments, crinolines, overlays, and lingerie. Great for waist trimming and or stomach wraps. High Elasticity fabric with High Compression. This Fabric also works great with Activewear due to its breathability and being able to regulate temperature.

Cleaning Instructions	100% Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures.
Picture Taken	Pictures are taken over a White Polyester fabric. Several Views taken to show the mesh size and quality. Fabric is sheer open work and taken with or without flash to give the customer an idea of tone of color. - Please order a sample swatch to avoid any issues.

Perfect for what I use it for

I use this to make side pockets on some of the bike bags I make at my company BroadFork Bags. The stretch fabric makes great pockets for cramming in used food wrappers or small items such as chap stick, or aspirin.

Is dura power mesh see-through?

Yes — it's a sheer open-work mesh, so plan your project accordingly. That's exactly why it's used for crinoline layering, lingerie, garment overlays, and dancewear: it adds structure and genuine compression without visual weight. The 20% spandex gives it high elasticity and real compression (it's listed for waist trimming and stomach wraps), and at 60 inches wide with about 5 oz per linear yard, it's lightweight enough to layer comfortably. Honest warning: compression mesh doesn't breathe like cotton — for activewear, it's better as a support layer or panel than as a full standalone garment.

Can I use dura mesh for dance costumes or activewear?

Yes — breathability and temperature regulation are called out in the specs, and the 20% spandex moves with the body through choreography. It's a strong, tight weave (that's the 'dura' part), so it holds up to repeated stretching far better than cheap power mesh. The tradeoff: at roughly 5 oz per linear yard it's light, which is comfortable but means it won't provide the firm control of a heavier compression fabric. For overlays, sleeves, and midriff panels it's ideal; for a standalone high-support piece, double it or step up to something heavier.
