Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

Which side is the brushed side?
One side — the cotton face. This Plaid Flannel is an 80% polyester / 20% cotton blend with the brushed cotton face on one side, giving you the soft classic flannel feel where it touches skin, backed by the durability of the poly-rich reverse. At 7 oz per yard it's a true medium weight: substantial enough for cozy shirts, dresses, and skirts, not so heavy it drapes like a blanket. If you want the brushed side out for a napped look, cut accordingly — the faces are visibly different.
Is 7 oz warm enough for winter shirts?
For fall and mild winter, yes; for deep cold, layer it. At 7 oz per yard this is a medium-weight flannel — warmer than quilting cotton, cooler than heavyweight 10 oz flannel. The brushed face traps air for insulation, and the 80/20 blend holds up to frequent washing without the thinning pure-cotton flannel can show. For a winter shirt you'll actually wear weekly, this weight hits the sweet spot between cozy and practical.
