Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

Sewn sequins vs glued — why should I care?
Durability, mostly. New York Dazzle's 6mm sequins are sewn onto a soft polyester mesh (not glued), so they flex with the fabric and survive handling far better than glued sequins — no cracking, no heat-loosened glue. At about 260 GSM it's a substantial fabric where the sequins carry the weight. The tradeoff: sewn sequins cost more and the mesh background is sheer between them, so fitted garments need lining. For tops, backdrops, and event pieces that get touched and moved, sewn is the longer-lived choice.
Is it opaque enough for a top without lining?
Almost, but we'd still line it. The 6mm sequins on New York Dazzle cover most of the mesh background — the listing calls it semi-solid — so from a few feet away it reads opaque. Up close or under bright light, you'll see mesh between sequins. For a blouse or costume top, a simple lining makes it look finished and keeps sequin edges off skin. For backdrops and pillow covers, no lining needed — it's plenty dense for decor.
Hand wash preferred — what happens if I machine wash it?
You'll regret it. The care is hand wash preferred — cold water and soap, hang to dry — because machine agitation tangles the mesh, snaps sequin threads, and wrinkles the fabric into a mess. At 260 GSM this is a heavy piece; wet, it's even heavier, so support it fully when lifting from the basin. Honest cost of ownership: sequin mesh is high-maintenance fabric. If your project needs frequent laundering, that's worth weighing before you buy.
