Fish Net is a 58" wide 100% polyester metallic netting. Great for Arts and Crafts projects. Great for costumes and outfits. Used in the Event Industry to glam a backdrop and or for overlays and tablecloths. Makes great for Cosplay, Costumes and Tutu's. Item is also referred to as Metallic Lurex Mesh or Metallic Fish Net.

Cleaning Instructions	100% Polyester Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures.

Is this metallic fish net stiff enough to hold a tutu's shape?

Yes — this is a stiff-to-medium hand metallic net at about 1.5 oz per linear yard, which is exactly the body you want for tutu layers and costume structure. The silver metallic lurex is woven into the net, not glued on, so it won't flake off when you cut or gather it. At 58 inches wide, one yard gives you a lot of tutu. Honest tradeoff: the stiffness that makes it great for tutus makes it scratchy against bare skin — line your waistbands and bodices, or wear it as an overlay layer rather than directly against skin.

Can I use metallic fish net for event backdrops?

Yes — it's listed for exactly that: glamming up backdrops, plus overlays and tablecloths in the event industry. The silver metallic net catches light across a whole wall, and at 58 inches wide with a featherweight 1.5 oz per yard, you can cover a lot of area inexpensively. It's 100% polyester and machine washable (cold or warm, low tumble), so rental stock is easy to maintain. The tradeoff: it's a true open-weave netting — from up close, guests will see right through it, so layer it over pipe-and-drape or a solid base rather than expecting it to stand alone.
