Description

Faux Linen Embossed Embroidery is a 58" Wide 100% Polyester Embossed Embroidery on a Linen Look alike. This Linen Look can be used as drapery curtains, bags, tablecloths and backdrops. Lightweight but durable and washes very well.

Cleaning Instructions	Hand wash separately in cold water, mild detergent and line dry. No bleach, fabric softeners, iron or dry clean. The bright shiny/matte foil finish may fade after wear and washing. Please test all fabrics for color fastness before garment production.
Picture Taken	Picture is taken with and/or without flash depending on the color. If you are very particular about the color tone - please order a sample swatch to avoid any issues.

My only complaint about this item is the product sticker used on the edge of both ends of the bolt which was very difficult to remove without damaging the salvage edge of the fabric. Another method of identification should be used on bolts of fabric. Otherwise, the fabric is exactly as advertised and a very good value.

Does this embossed fabric actually look like real linen?

It reads as linen from a few feet away — the embossed embroidery gives it that slubbed, natural-fiber texture, and it comes in off-white and light silver. Up close, the 100% polyester base gives it away to a fabric eye, but for drapery, tablecloths, backdrops, and bags, the effect is convincing. It's a lightweight-but-durable weave at about 6 oz per linear yard and 58 inches wide. The honest tradeoff: the embossing is a surface treatment, so treat it gently — hand wash cold, line dry, no iron, no bleach, no fabric softener, no dry clean — because aggressive care flattens the embossing faster than the fabric itself wears out.

Will the embroidery or the finish fade over time?

The listing is upfront about this: the shiny/matte finish may fade after wear and washing. That's the reality of an embossed, embellished polyester — the base fabric washes well and is genuinely durable, but the finish is the vulnerable part. Test all fabrics for color fastness before cutting into garment production, and keep it out of the dryer entirely. For backdrops, curtains, and drapery that hang rather than get worn and washed, you'll get far more life out of it than in apparel — so match the project to the fabric's strengths.
