Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is seersucker actually cooler to wear in summer?
Yes — the texture is functional, not just decorative. This Gingham Seersucker has the classic puckered texture that holds the fabric slightly off the skin, letting air circulate — that's the whole engineering behind seersucker. At a lightweight 115 GSM in 100% polyester with mechanical stretch, it's built for warm-weather dresses, blouses, skirts, and children's apparel. The gingham check is woven into that puckered surface, so the pattern has a subtle dimensional ripple you can feel.
What is 'mechanical' stretch?
Stretch from the weave, not from spandex. This seersucker's mechanical stretch comes from how the yarns are constructed — there's no elastane in the 100% polyester content, yet the fabric gives with movement and recovers. The practical difference: mechanical stretch won't degrade in heat or over time the way spandex eventually does, and it survives hot dryers better. Expect a gentle, comfortable give rather than a compressive snap.
