Description

100% Cotton Poplin is a woven plain weave fabric comprised of a 100% Cotton. Our 60" wide 100% Cotton Fabric weighs approximately 125 GSM. Fabric has a soft breathable finish for Shirting, Garments, Bed Sheets, Bed pillows, and more recently Face Masks.

Cleaning Instructions	100% Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures. We always suggest Dry Cleaning to Preserve the longevity of your fabric

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Nice quality fabric and perfect for my little “Pawters” Halloween costumes.

I ordered two yards for my project and the product was not that measurement. Very disappointing. Set my whole product back and I needed this done quickly for a photoshoot. Photo shown is comparing the other fabric I ordered of the same size.

Quilt backing

I used this sheeting for quilt backs and it works wonderfully. I prewashed it, but had no runoff through the wash so i dont think i need to do that in the future. It also had no shrinking after washing on hot and ironing on high heat. Great quality and fast shipping (about 5 days). I will be buying again and again

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between this poplin and the 100 GSM quilting cottons?

Weight and weave density. This poplin is 100% cotton at about 125 GSM — noticeably denser than the 100 GSM novelty prints — in a plain weave with a soft, breathable finish. That extra density is why it's specified for shirting, garments, and bed sheets rather than just quilting: it holds a crisper press, resists show-through better, and wears longer. It comes in white, navy, and black at 58/60 inches. Honest tradeoff: denser cotton wrinkles more visibly than lighter weaves — embrace the iron, or embrace the wrinkles.

Is the white poplin see-through?

In white, at 125 GSM, it's substantially more opaque than a 100 GSM print cotton — but white is white, and under strong light a single layer will show shadows. For shirts, most makers are fine with it as-is; for anything fitted or worn over light colors, consider a lining or nude undergarments. The navy and black colorways are fully opaque. Machine wash cold or warm, low tumble — and pre-wash before cutting, since 100% cotton poplin can shrink on the first wash.
