A Note About Dye Lots Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

What is 'slinky' fabric, exactly?

A clingy, fluid knit that skims the body. This Metallic Stretch Slinky is a 90% polyester / 10% spandex 2-way stretch knit at 125 GSM and 58 inches wide — lightweight enough to drape in soft folds, stretchy enough to hug without binding. The metallic finish gives it a liquid-metal look for evening wear, dancewear, and statement pieces. It's solid, not sheer, so it works unlined; the tradeoff of the clingy hand is that it shows every lump, so fit and undergarments matter.

Will the metallic finish fade or dull?

It can with rough handling — treat the finish gently. The care label says machine washable but dry clean preferred, which tells you the metallic surface appreciates gentle treatment. Wash cold, inside-out, and skip high heat; metallic finishes dull fastest under heat and abrasion. If this is for a garment you'll wear hard, dry cleaning is the honest recommendation for keeping the shine bright.
