Description

Double Georgette is 58" wide and Made in Korea. Georgette is a sheer crepe textured polyester with a wonderful fluid drape making it perfect for a blouse, skirt and or dress. This Sheer is also excellent for Tent Liners, Event Planning and Swagging.

Cleaning Instructions	100% Polyester Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures.
Picture Taken	Bottom side of the picture is taken with the fabric piled together to give the true impression of the color of the fabric. The top portion of the fabric is taken as a single layer of the Two Tone Chiffon over a white polyester. Fabric is sheer open work and taken with or without flash to give the customer an idea of tone of color. - Please order a sample swatch to avoid any issues.

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

This fabric drapes beautifully

Because I loved the look when I did it before, I am going to do a wall of curtains with this fabric, duplicating what I did at another house. Floor to ceiling, covering an expanse of about 12’, I’ll do the panels so they are tightly gathered on a 4” wide rod. The results are gorgeous, and the fabric moves so ethereally with the breezes.

Double georgette vs single georgette — what's doubled?

The construction — two layers' worth of body in one fabric. This double georgette (58" wide per the description, made in Korea, 100% polyester) has more substance and opacity than single georgette while keeping the sheer crepe texture and fluid drape georgette is known for. At about 4 oz with a sheer classification, it's still a sheer — but a more forgiving one. For blouses, skirts, and dresses (its listed uses), double georgette skims rather than clings, which is why dressmakers prefer it.

Is it sheer enough to need lining?

Yes — it's still classified sheer. Double georgette is more opaque than single, but at 4 oz with a sheer crepe texture, it needs lining or an underdress for garments.
