Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Terrible fabric to sew on!

Terrible fabric to sew on. My seams puckered, even with a new needle for my sewing machine and adjustable my tension. I threw the fabric away!

Dark Gold is very Dark Gold. Very thin metallic fabric makes great accents to costumes. I actually uae this for my wisemen collars with added stiffening and jewels. Does tend to fray alot so the edged need serged.

Excellent Silver Tissue Lamé fabric

I have purchased this fabric from a dozen resources for the past three years. Both for costume and to make sun deglecting drapes.

This was particularly fine tissue lsmé, the best I’ve purchased over the years. Great price and value. Thank you

Tissue Lame Fabric

Ordering was very easy and I was happy with the process, but the product I received was not as colorful as pictured and the edges are not smooth, like I was hoping. Sometimes buying online is just not as easy.

RE: the fuchsia lame - I am looking for fuchsia/fuchsia lame -- (not fuchsia/white or fuchsia/black). Please, can you clarify that your fuchsia lame has all fuchsia/fuchsia fibers and no white or black threads. thank you

My Textile Fabric

Hi Linda
this fabric has no backing, it is entirely made of metallic
so both front and back of the fabric is the same type of metallic look
so yes both sides are fuschia tone.

Frequently asked questions

You say it has no face — what does that mean for cutting?
It means both sides of this tissue lamé are identical, so there's no wrong side to worry about when laying out your pattern. That's unusual for metallic fabrics and genuinely useful — you can't accidentally cut a piece inside-out. This is a Japan-made tissue lamé, 45 inches wide, with a high sheen that crushes and changes texture. The tradeoff: it's fragile. Handle it gently, don't pull it taut while sewing, and expect some metallic flaking at cut edges — finish your seams.
Is tissue lamé too delicate for a dance costume?
For a single-performance costume, it can work beautifully — the high sheen catches stage light like almost nothing else. But we'd be straight with you: tissue lamé is fragile, and it's hand wash only. For a dance costume that needs to survive a full season of rehearsals and performances, we'd suggest a sturdier metallic like our hologram spandex instead. Tissue lamé is best for theatrical pieces, cosplay accents, and event decor where it's not taking repeated physical stress.
