Description

Double Sided Satin Fabric offers luxurious sheen and silky softness on both sides—perfect for apparel, linings, and home décor projects. This 100% polyester satin drapes beautifully with a refined hand feel that rivals natural silk, while remaining easy to care for. Woven at 60" wide and weighing approximately 125 gsm, this lightweight fabric maintains its elegant appearance without excess bulk. The lustrous satin finish is identical on both sides, giving you design flexibility for reversible pieces or visible seaming.

Available in classic white, black, and rich red, each color is carefully photographed to ensure accurate representation. We recommend ordering a sample swatch if color accuracy is critical for your project, as lighting can affect how different hues appear on screen. Care is simple—machine wash in cold or warm water on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry on low heat. The polyester composition ensures durability and color retention through repeated washing. Ideal for evening wear, quilting accents, craft projects, and decorative applications where a touch of elegance matters.

Cleaning Instructions 100% Polyester Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures.

Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

Why would I pay for satin that's shiny on both sides?
Because the back of your project will show. Regular satin has one lustrous face and one dull back — fine until a sash flips, a drape twists, or a garment lining peeks out. This Double-Sided Satin carries a smooth, glossy finish on both faces, so sashes, reversible garments, event draping, and anything viewed from multiple angles looks polished everywhere. At about 80 grams per square yard and 60 inches wide, it's a light-to-medium satin that drapes rather than stands stiff.
Is it hard to tell the right side from the wrong side?
That's the luxury of it — there isn't one. Both faces of this Double-Sided Satin are finished glossy, so you can cut pattern pieces without tracking right and wrong sides, and flipped seam allowances won't flash a dull back. We'd still mark one face with a pin or chalk when cutting directional pieces, just to keep nap-like sheen consistent. Machine wash cold or warm; the polyester face resists wrinkling better than silk satin ever did.
