Description

Nylon Spandex has a beautiful Sheen with a 20% Spandex 4 way stretch. Great for Swimwear, outfits, and any active wear. Also very popular for the event industry with creating sculpted chairs overs, tablecloths, and outdoor projections. Fabric is 60" Wide. Super popular for Dancewear and Swimwear.

Cleaning Instructions	Washable - Machine Cycle Cold or Warm, Low Tumble, Dry under low temperatures.
Picture Taken	Picture is taken with and/or without flash depending on the color. If you are very particular about the color tone - please order a sample swatch to avoid any issues.
Fabric Weight	Approximately 10oz per square linear yard or about 200 grams per sq meter. Soft butter hand feel with medium body weight.

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

I was initially thrilled to find a fabric store online however the fact the color doesn’t match that pictured, and a return basically is equivalent to no money back due to a restock fee if 45% of your purchase price, after I pay return shipping, means “no returns”. Beware!

Is this opaque enough for leggings and swimwear?

Yes — with the standard stretch caveat. This is an 80% nylon / 20% spandex 4-way stretch at 58/60" wide, about 200 grams per square meter (10 oz per linear yard) with a medium body — substantial enough that it doesn't go sheer when stretched, which is the critical swimwear/leggings test. It's listed for swimwear, dancewear, and activewear outright. Our honest fitting advice: always stretch-test your specific color over your hand before cutting — darker colors stay opaque further into the stretch than lighter ones.

20% spandex — how much stretch is that in practice?

Strong 4-way stretch with good recovery. The 20% spandex content (with 80% nylon) gives this 58/60" fabric stretch in all directions — the listing describes a 'beautiful sheen' and 'soft butter hand feel.' In practice, 20% is the sweet spot for swim and dance: enough to move and recover, not so much that the fabric bags. It also has a waterproof quality the listing notes, which is why it works for swimwear. Machine washable cold or warm, low tumble — but line dry swimwear to protect the spandex from dryer heat.

Can I use it for outdoor event chair covers?
