Is the lavender more purple or more gray in person?

We'd tell you to check with a swatch rather than trust the screen. Lavender sits in that tricky zone where monitor calibration shifts it purple on one screen and gray-lilac on another, and the metallic lame mixed through the pile adds its own color shift as it catches light. The listing photos were taken without flash. If you're matching bridesmaid tones or a cosplay reference, order the swatch — lavender is one of the highest-regret colors to buy blind.

Does it shed when cut?

Some — all long-pile fabrics do. The eyelash fibers on this Lavender Shaggy Brocade are tacked onto the sheer base at about 3 inches tall, so cutting releases loose fibers along the cut edge. Cut from the back side with the pile facing down, shake pieces out outdoors, and keep a lint roller handy. Once cut and seamed, shedding drops off fast. It's 100% polyester and machine washable, so finished pieces clean up easily.
