Fabric by the Yard is sold with a min of 2 yards - a quantity of 10 means 10 yards.

Description

BOLT SIZE IS 55 YARDS	Our Burlap is a true hessian 100% Jute fabric. About 8 OZ in weight. Roll sizes are 55 yards and prepackaged making it easy to unroll and use in the garden and backyard. Fabric is natural and may have blemishes. Burlap can be treated to make it FR for swagging and or used in pipe n draping for event planning. Customers readily make Linens, Runners, Tablecloths, Sashes and more. Fabric is not washable and most likely a few times use only. This fabrics weight also makes it great for packaging, boxing, and carrying bags. Please note this is not a Hydro Carbon Free material.
Cleaning Instructions	Do not Wash but if you must - hand wash with mild soap and hang to dry

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

I was looking for a good amount of burlap for various projects in my garden. the local material stores had the basic 48" wide and even on sale, I thought pricey. True hessian — what does that mean for quality?

It means the real thing: 100% jute hessian at about 8 oz, not a printed imitation. The listing is honest about the tradeoff: natural burlap may have blemishes, is not washable, and is 'most likely a few times use only.' For rustic wedding runners, tablecloths, and sashes (listed uses), that authentic texture is the point — just price it as a consumable, not a rental investment. The 60-inch width comes on 55-yard prepackaged rolls.

Can I make this fire-retardant for venue use?

With treatment, yes. The listing notes burlap can be treated to make it FR for swagging and pipe-and-drape. But note: this is not the Hydro Carbon Free version, and treatment is on you — factor the cost and the venue's documentation requirements in. For venues demanding certified FR, our IFR fabrics skip the treatment step entirely.
