Color Waves

Not sure about the color? We highly recommend ordering a sample swatch first to see the color and fabric in person. Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and dye lots. Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy and are subject to applicable restocking fees.

Dye Lot Variations

A Note About Dye Lots  Dye lots may vary slightly from order to order. As one fabric roll sells out and a new roll is opened, subtle color variations may occur. If matching a specific shade is important, we recommend ordering a sample swatch to view our current dye lot before placing your order.

Full Piece and/or Splits

Full Pieces & Splits

We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is lame fabric?
Lamé is a fabric woven with metallic threads for an all-over shimmer — a showstopper for evening wear, costumes, and event decor. It's lighter than it looks. Discover more in 7 unique fabrics with character.
How do metallic fabrics like lame photograph at events?
Beautifully — metallics catch light and camera flashes, which is why they're huge for stage costumes, New Year's events, and red-carpet looks. See how shimmering fabrics are taking over evening wear.
Is lame hard to sew or care for?
Metallic threads need a little extra care — sharp needles and gentle handling keep the finish intact. Care varies by fabric — check the product listing. Our guide to fabric finishes has tips for working with metallics.
What weights and colors of lame do you carry?
We stock tissue lame and heavier metallic options in a range of colors, starting from $3.99 per yard. Order swatches to see the shimmer in person — our swatch guide explains why it matters for metallics especially.
