We always do our best to provide your order in one continuous piece whenever possible. However, as fabric rolls are completed or depending on how they arrive from the mill, an order may occasionally include more than one piece. Some mill-direct rolls may also contain splits within the roll.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee one continuous piece. If continuous yardage is important for your project, please contact our team before ordering so we can check availability for you.

At 45 inches, is this the narrowest brocade — will I have enough for a jacket?

It's our narrowest brocade, so plan accordingly. This dragon brocade is 45 inches wide with a smooth metallic sheen, woven to look embroidered, at about 7 oz per linear yard. For a structured jacket or vest, 45 inches works — you'll just buy more yardage and piece more carefully than with our 58-inch brocades. The dragon motif is large-scale, so order a swatch to check the repeat size against your pattern pieces; a big motif landing in the wrong spot can ruin a front panel.

Dry clean only — what about steaming out wrinkles?

Steam carefully, but never wash. The listing is firm: dry clean only, do not wash or machine wash. A gentle steam from a distance can relax packing wrinkles without touching the metallic face — but keep the iron's plate off the fabric. Metallic brocade and direct heat are a bad combination, and water can spot the finish.
